Hyderabad: Online bus ticketing platform redBus said it was witnessing high demand for intercity bus travel across the country for the festive season.
The Bengaluru-Hyderabad-Bengaluru route is seeing the highest number of bookings, it said. Other top to and fro segments include Bengaluru-Chennai, Chennai-Coimbatore, Chennai-Madurai, Kolkata-Durgapur, Delhi-Manali, Pune-Goa, Bengaluru-Goa, Mumbai-Pune and Bengaluru-Coimbatore.
About 40 lakh passengers from across the country are expected to travel from Oct 11-17. In all, about 50,000 buses, including 30,000 RTC buses will ply over one lakh routes, covering a distance of 61 crore km during the festival season.
