40 passengers suffer injuries after private travels bus hit lorry

The incident occurred when the truck loaded with tiles was taking a ‘U’ turn and the CGR travels bus which was heading to Kadapa from Hyderabad hit the truck.

Jogulamba Gadwal: About 40 passengers and a driver suffered injuries when two private travels buses hit a truck at Puluru toll plaza under Undavalli mandal here on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred when the truck loaded with tiles was taking a ‘U’ turn and the CGR travels bus which was heading to Kadapa from Hyderabad hit the truck. Within minutes, a Kaveri private travel bus, which was heading towards Tirupati from Hyderabad, hit the CGR bus from behind.


The bus driver and the 40 passengers in the Kaveri bus suffered injuries. The condition of the driver is said to be critical and the injured have been shifted to Government General Hospital, Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.
