472 new Covid cases, two deaths in Telangana
GHMC accounted for most number of cases with 106, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri and Rangareddy with 45 and 44 respectively

Hyderabad: Telangana has recorded 472 new Covid-19 infections and two fatalities on Saturday taking the overall toll to 1,531 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,84,863. As on Saturday, there were 6,579 active Covid-19 cases in the State.
A total of 509 persons recovered on Saturday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,76,753 with a recovery rate of 97.15 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate was 95.8 per cent.
Between Friday and Saturday, 37,347 Covid tests were conducted in the State and reports of another 536 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 67,23,710 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,84,863 have tested positive and 2,76,753 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included seven from Adilabad, 15 from Bhadradri, 106 from areas under GHMC, eight from Jagtiyal, two from Jangaon, seven from Bhupalpally, six each from Gadwal and Kamareddy, 17 from Karimnagar, 16 from Khammam, two from Asifabad, six from Mahabubnagar, 12 from Mahabubabad, 19 from Mancherial, seven from Medak, 45 from Medchal Malkajgiri, seven from Mulugu, six from Nagarkurnool, 23 from Nalgonda, one from Narayanpet, three from Nirmal, 10 each from Nizamabad and Pedapalli, eight from Siricilla, 44 from Rangareddy, eight from Sangareddy, 17 from Siddipet, nine from Suryapet, three Vikarabad, four from Wanaparthy, seven from Warangal Rural, 18 from Warangal Urban and 13 from Yadadri.
