Siddipet: A Siddipet court on Monday convicted a 48-year-old man in a POCSO case, sentencing him to 20 years imprisonment and imposing a fine of Rs 5,000.
The accused, Parsha Srinivas, a resident of Enagurthi in Dubbak mandal, was found guilty of raping a 14-year-old girl in a village under Bhumpally police station limits on April 14, 2022, according to police.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, the police investigated the case and arrested Srinivas. After hearing arguments from both sides, First Additional District and Sessions Judge Jayaprasad pronounced the conviction.
Commissioner of Police Dr. B Anuradha appreciated the police personnel and the public prosecutor for ensuring a speedy trial in the case.
