Hyderabad: The fourth cohort of 51 students graduated from the Amazon Data Centre skilling programme during a ceremony held at Vardhaman Engineering College.

The participants were equipped with technical skills needed to build their careers in data center operations, supporting the growing demand for cloud infrastructure professionals in India. Developed in partnership with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations team, the program provided theoretical and hands-on experience in managing cloud data center operations.

“As demand for cloud and AI services accelerates across India, building a robust talent pipeline to support data centre infrastructure powering these technologies has never been more important,” said Saji PK, Director of Data Center Operations for Asia Pacific, Japan and China at Amazon Web Services.

AWS operates two cloud data center Regions in India located in Mumbai and Hyderabad, with plans to invest a total of $12.7 billion into cloud infrastructure in India by 2030.
