566 students from KITS-Warangal placed in top companies

54 companies assess students through global and national level talent tests

566 students from KITS-Warangal placed in top companies

Warangal Urban: Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, Secretary and MP Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao said that a total of 566 students had been offered jobs through campus placements in the academic year 2019-20. Companies including MNCs were from IT and PSUs, he added.

The companies that offered Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) include GE Digital, GGK Technologies, Hexaware, Edupolis, CGI, Raam Group, among others. In a press note here on Saturday, Lakshmikantha Rao said over 54 companies assessed students in the 2019-20 academic year to offer 566 jobs till date with salaries up to Rs 9.5 lakh per annum. The CTC paid by GE Digital is the highest followed by Opentext with Rs 6.5 lakh per annum and Infosys, Amazon with Rs 5 lakh per annum. The Average CTC is Rs 3.8 lakh per annum for this year, he added.


“TCS with 124 job offers, Infosys with 75, Cognizant with 80, Wipro with 59 and Mphasis with 53 are a few renowned companies that extended job offers to our students. A good number of students participated and succeeded by getting jobs through global and national level talent tests namely TCS Codevita, TCS Ninja, Wipro National Talent Hunt, InfytQ, HackwithInfy, etc.,” he said.

“Company-specific training, regular evaluation and mock interviews conducted by Training and Placements (T&P) team helped in yielding good results in the placements. Based on mutual tie-up with Wipro, three of our faculty members got the status of ‘Wipro Talent Next Certified Trainers’, after a detailed training cum evaluation,” he explained.

Meanwhile, KITS-W Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said that All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had granted permission to the institute to introduce new courses in emerging technologies, including CSE-Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and CSE-IoT (CSE- Internet Of Things) from this academic year (2020-21).
