57-year-old farmhouse worker dies by suicide in Shamshabad
A 57-year-old man, Rolla Venkata Subbaiah, died by suicide early Monday at a farmhouse in Shamshabad. His wife found him hanging from a tree after he failed to respond to calls. Depression over his father’s death is suspected
Hyderabad: A 57-year-old man died by suicide at a farmhouse at Shamshabad early on Monday.
According to the police, the man, Rolla Venkata Subbaiah (57), a resident of Burjagadda thanda in Shamshabad, is a native of West Godavari in AP. He, along with his wife Rolla Laxmi, worked at a farmhouse at Burjagadda thanda and stayed in the servant quarters in the farmhouse.
In early hours of Monday, the man woke as usual and left his room to water plants in the garden. Around 7 am, his wife called him on phone for breakfast, but when the call went unanswered, she went out and found Subbaiah hanging from a tree.
Laxmi told the police that Subbaiah slipped into depression over the death of his father and might have ended his life over it. A case is registered.
