Adilabad: As many as 600 tribals belonging to 12 habitations availed of medical services offered at a mega medical camp organised by police at a remote Mamidiguda village in Adilabad rural mandal on Saturday.
In-charge Superintendent of Police M Rajesh Chandra was the chief guest of the event. Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh advised the dwellers of the interior villages and tribals to consult doctors with seasonal diseases that were likely to spread in the winter. He stated that the police department was conducting medical camps to ensure accessibility of medical services to rural folks. He requested the parents to provide education to their children for the growth of their habitation.
The IPS officer assured steps would be taken to extend support to the needy in getting medical services in hospitals of Hyderabad and Adilabad district headquarters. He praised Adilabad Rural Inspector K Purshottam Chary and Sub-Inspector A Haribabu for organising the camp. He thanked doctors who rendered services at the camp. The Superintendent of Police handed over volleyball kits, football and cricket kits to youngsters of the habitations. The tribals were provided transportation. They were fed by the police.
