Karimnagar: Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Sunday said the State government has decided to fill all vacancies in the government soon. Stating that there were 60,000 vacancies in various departments, he said notification for recruitment will be issued soon based on the Presidential Order on zones. Harish Rao was participating in Teacher’s Day celebration organised by Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRASMA) in Huzurabad. “So far, the State government has filled 1.30 lakh vacancies and notification for the remaining vacancies would be released soon,” he said.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who was focusing on education, would strengthen the sector in the coming days. Compared to other States, the expenditure on education was lower in Telangana State, he said. Talking about the problems faced by private school teachers, Harish Rao said when private school managements denied salaries to teachers during the Covid pandemic, the State government paid them Rs 1,500 and provided 25 kg of rice.

Harish Rao promised to provide double bedroom houses to all eligible private teachers in the Huzurabad constituency. He also promised to provide a share to teachers in all government welfare schemes. Corona forced private schools into a financial crisis, the Minister said and assured to take steps to provide financial assistance to schools by consulting with bankers.
