Karimnagar: District Collector K Shashanka instructed doctors and nodal officers to work in tandem to check the spread of coronavirus in the district.
The Collector interacted with doctors and district officials to discuss the Covid situation through teleconference from the camp officer here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Shashanka informed that 604 teams had been deployed to carry out door-to-door health survey and provide home isolation kits to Covid positive patients. Instructing officials that there should not be any shortage of kits, he said that the kits should be made available in all hospitals.
Instructing the doctors to start Covid OP treatment in all sub-centres in the district, the Collector asked Dr Ravinder Reddy to enhance the timing of teleconferences. Give permission to private hospitals to increase the number of beds and monitor hospitals’ orders to purchase Remdesivir injections and medicines.
Covid positive patients should be given treatment by following prescribed protocol. Since there was huge demand for oxygen, officials should take precautions to ensure there is no leakage in cylinders.
Informing that 23 patients were undergoing treatment in Covid care centre, he instructed officials concerned to conduct tests in automatic machine setup in RTPCR lab in the district headquarters hospital.
