Telangana: 65-year-old killed in Jagitial, body dumped in drainage

According to police, Hanumakka is running a money-lending business in the village. They suspect that she might have been killed by unidentified persons due to some dispute over recovery of money.

Jagitial: A 65-year-old woman, Birudula Hanumakka was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Veldurthi of Jagitial rural mandal on Thursday. The body of Hanumakka was found in the drainage in the village.

According to police, Hanumakka is running a money-lending business in the village. They suspect that she might have been killed by unidentified persons due to some dispute over recovery of money. Hanumakka was killed in the early hours on Thursday and the body was dumped in the drainage.


Local people who found the body in the drainage informed the matter to the police. Learning about the incident, Jagitial rural police rushed to the spot and began investigation into the incident by registering the case. The body was shifted to Jagitial district hospital for postmortem.
