Sangareddy: A 70-bed oxygen supplied facility was made functional at Area Hospitals in Patancheru and Jogipet on Monday. Such facilities will also be made operational in Zaheerabad and Narayankhed Hospitals by Monday night or Tuesday.
Following Finance Minister T Harish Rao’s review meeting on Sunday on the Covid-19 situation, the exclusive wards for Covid-19 patients with oxygen supply were readied overnight. BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited) Hyderabad is supplying oxygen to these hospitals.
Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy inspected the Area Hospital in Patancheru and examined the facilities. Thanking the hospital staff for providing treatment to Covid-19 patients, the MLA appealed to them to take care of the patients until the situation eases out.
Meanwhile, Andole MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran also visited the Area Hospital Jogipet to take stock of the situation. Stating that a number of positive cases were being reported in his constituency, he requested the Minister to create an oxygen supplied bed facility in Jogipet so that it would help the patients suffering from breathing issues. He advised the people not to rush to private hospitals since they will need to shell out huge amounts.
