Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra): Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) convener Abhijeet Dipke on Friday alleged a “lack of synchronisation” between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and urged the BJP leaders to abide by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statements on the Gen Z movement.

Dipke’s reaction comes a day after Bhagwat, during an interaction with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students in Mumbai, said that the Gen Z movement was not against the country and that the protesters’ grievances were genuine.

Speaking to reporters at his hometown, the CJP founder said: “The most important statement made by Mohan Bhagwat ji during yesterday’s interaction was that the Gen Z and youth should not be called anti-national. Those who are protesting have the right to do so, and their issues are genuine.”

He urged BJP leaders to listen to the RSS chief.

“During our (Jantar Mantar) protest, (BJP President) Nitin Nabin ji had called us ‘virus’, (then Education Minister) Dharmendra Pradhan had referred to us as the ‘B team of terrorists’, so I think that these people should listen to Mohan Bhagwat ji since he is, in a way, BJP’s mentor and godfather,” he added.

He further said that if the BJP leaders “are not listening to their mentor, then it is quite problematic”.

“In fact, Mohan Bhagwat ji should himself speak to the BJP leaders,” Dipke urged.

Citing Bhagwat’s statement, the CJP founder remarked: “It seems there is no synchronisation between the BJP and the RSS as both are saying different things…there appears to be disagreements within the RSS and the BJP.”

On Thursday, RSS chief Bhagwat said: “If Gen Z is protesting, they are not anti-nationals. They are our own people, our next generation… I do not believe Gen Z is like that… I think the new generation — the Gen Z and Gen Alpha, is more honest than our existing generation, and honest appeal of patriotism and service works with them,” he noted.

“The new generation appeared more honest, with appeals of patriotism and service resonating with them,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dipke stated that CJP’s attempt will be to function as a “pressure group” by bringing “people together on issues that concern the country and the youth rather than ideologies or matters related to political parties”.

“After the Jantar Mantar protest, one thing has become clear: when citizens of this country come together, rising above their ideologies and political differences, they can put pressure on the government.”
