About 2.18 lakh persons from priority age groups vaccinated in TS

According to the Covid vaccination bulletin, the cumulative number of beneficiaries who have received the first dose of Covid vaccine is 5,29,551 individuals

Hyderabad: A total of 2,18,405 individuals above the age of 60 years and those between 45 years and 59 years of age with comorbid conditions have received the first dose of Covid vaccine in Telangana, State health officials on Monday said.

Since the launch of the special Covid vaccination drive for priority age groups on March 1, out of the 2,18,405 individuals, 1,64,484 were senior citizens while the rest of the 53,921 beneficiaries were in the age group of 45 years to 59 years with comorbid conditions.


Along with the priority age groups, the Health Department has also continued to administer vaccines to health care and frontline workers. So far, since the launch of Covid vaccination drive, 2,08,460 healthcare workers and 1,02,688 front line workers have received the first dose of the vaccine in the State.

According to the Covid vaccination bulletin, the cumulative number of beneficiaries including healthcare and front line workers, senior citizens and those between the age group of 45 years and 59 years with pre-existing medical conditions who have received the first dose of Covid vaccine is 5,29,551 individuals.

The total number of beneficiaries who took the first and second dose of Covid vaccine so far is 2,22,088.
