Abu Dhabi road mishap: Bodies of deceased Telangana couple flown home

A tragic car accident in the Abu Dhabi emirate of the UAE has claimed the lives of a Telangana couple, while their three minor children are hospitalised for serious injuries. The family was traveling when the crash occurred near Al Dhanna town on Thursday.

Dubai: A Telangana couple died in the Abu Dhabi emirate in UAE in a car accident, while their three minor children are undergoing treatment at a local hospital for serious injuries.

The mortal remains of the couple were flown to Hyderabad on Saturday.

Syed Waheed, a native of Shamshabad, was working in Abu Dhabi and traveling in a car along with his wife and three children, when their vehicle crashed on Thursday near Al Dhanna town, also known as Ruwais. The couple died on the spot while their three children, from age four months to 9-year-old, sustained modest to serious injuries and are being treated at a local hospital in the Emirate.

The youngest child of the couple, who is four-months old, is said to be in critical condition with multiple head injuries. The 9-year-old eldest child also sustained multiple injuries and was admitted into the ICU while the 2-year-old daughter suffered fractures to her legs, according to their friends who visited them in the hospital.
