ABVP activists attempt to barge into RGUKT-Basar by jumping over compound
The activists stopped a train by pulling a chain meant for emergencies and then entered the campus by climbing the compound wall located in rear of the university in order to hoodwink the security system of the university.
Nirmal: Activists of ABVP tried to barge into the campus of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT) by jumping over the compound wall of the institution in Basar on Saturday.
The activists stopped a train by pulling a chain meant for emergencies and then entered the campus by climbing the compound wall located in rear of the university in order to hoodwink the security system of the university. They tried to disrupt classes by raising slogans in classrooms. Their attempt, however, was learnt to be thwarted by the university security personnel, who managed to detain the activists and handed them over to local police.
The activists called for laying siege to the university in protest of alleged assault against them by security staff, following suicide of a student recently. They were arrested on the way to the campus early in the morning and were shifted to different police stations.
