ABVP holds flash protest at Telangana SBTET office over student detentions

Hyderabad: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists staged a massive flash protest at the Telangana State Board of Technical Education and Training, demanding that detained students be promoted, here on Thursday.
The activists, led by ABVP state secretary M Rambabu, along with the diploma students, attempted to storm the SBTET office. A scuffle ensued between activists and the police personnel, who detained the protesters and shifted them to various police stations in the city.
According to protesters, several students were detained due to technical glitches in the evaluation and results announcement.
“We demand justice for students who were detained due to technical glitches,” said Rambabu.
