ACB apprehends Bandlaguda police station SI and two constables for accepting bribe

A sub-inspector and two constables of Bandlaguda police station were caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000, here on Friday.

Hyderabad: A sub-inspector and two constables of Bandlaguda police station were caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000, here on Friday.

According to the ACB officials, Sub-inspector R. Pavan, demanded and accepted the bribe from the complainant through Ch Ramakrishna and B Santhosh for closure of a case.

Tainted bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the officers and their fingers yielded positive results in a chemical test.

The tainted officials were produced before the special court for ACB cases.

The ACB requested the citizens to contact their toll free number 1064 in case of a demand of bribe by any public servant.
