ACB catches record assistant in Ameerpet for Rs 20,000 bribe
ACB officials arrested a record assistant in Ameerpet for allegedly accepting a Rs 20,000 bribe to process retirement benefits of a complainant’s mother. The accused was caught red-handed and later produced before the Special Judge for ACB cases in Nampally.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Monday caught a record assistant working in the office of Deputy Inspector of Schools Ameerpet, red-handed, when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 to process retirement benefits of an individual.
According to the ACB, the record assistant S Shivanand, working at the office of Deputy Inspector of Schools Ameerpet, had demanded the bribe from the complainant, whose mother had retired recently, to forward the file to higher officers.
The tainted amount of Rs 20,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused officer at his instance. Thus, the accused officer was arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Nampally.
