ACB conducts searches at Water Board GM’s properties

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday conducted simultaneous searches at the residence of Water Board General Manager S.L. Kumar and properties linked to his relatives in an alleged disproportionate assets case.
The searches were carried out at eight locations across Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy district and Nizamabad district.
As per information available, during searches at Kumar’s house in Mallapur, ACB officials reportedly seized cash worth Rs 1.10 crore, around 1.5 kg of gold ornaments and 2.5 kg of silver articles.
ACB officials also identified assets allegedly linked to Kumar, including three acres of agricultural land in Nizamabad, six open plots in Hyderabad and three flats in a gated community in the city.
Property documents were taken into custody for verification.
ACB officials said a detailed report will be released after the searches were completed.
The seized documents are being examined, and officials are collecting further details from S.L. Kumar as part of the ongoing investigation.
