ACB nabs assistant engineer taking bribe at Warangal District Panchayat Office
Karthik allegedly extorted money from former Sarpanch Satish of Kadari Gudem in Wardhannapet Mandal in exchange for clearing contract bill files. The victim reported the matter to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), which led to Karthik's arrest while he was accepting the bribe.
Warangal: Anti-Corruption Bureau officials raided the Warangal District Panchayat Office and arrested an Assistant Engineer (AE) Karthik, allegedly while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.
Karthik had allegedly demanded money from former Sarpanch Satish of Kadari Gudem in Wardhannapet Mandal for clearing contract bill files. The victim approached the ACB, leading to Karthik’s arrest while accepting the bribe.
ACB officials are currently conducting an investigation at the District Panchayat Office to uncover further details.
