ACB nabs panchayat secretary accepting Rs 15,000 bribe in Siddipet

ACB officials nabbed panchayat secretary Aruna and Karboar while accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe from a man seeking mutation of his house site at Jakkapur village in Siddipet district. The accused will be produced before the special ACB court on Tuesday evening.

Siddipet: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths nabbed a woman panchayat secretary, Aruna, and Karboar while they were accepting a Rs 15,000 bribe from a person at Jakkapur village in Narayanraopet mandal.

The duo had insisted on a Rs 15,000 bribe after multiple negotiations. The man, who had approached them for mutation of his house site, approached the ACB officials after he was unable to pay the bribe. The ACB officials laid a trap and nabbed the duo while they were accepting the amount.

The officials were also carrying out searches at the office. The accused will be produced before the special ACB court on Tuesday evening.
