ACB traps forest officer demanding bribe in Jagtial
The officer had allegedly demanded a bribe to issue 'no objection certificate' for shifting mango wood from Ippalapalli of Kathalapur mandal to Kamareddy district headquarters

Jagital:Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths trapped Deputy Forest Range Officer, Metpalli, Mohammad Hafeezuddin while accepting bribe from a private driver in Metpalli on Monday.
According to ACB police, Hafeezuddin, who is working in Metpalli, is also in-charge of Kathalapur mandal of Jagtial district. He demanded Rs 4,500 from a private driver Pallapu Naresh from Gajasingavaram, Gambhirraopet mandal of Rajanna-Sircilla district, to do his favour.
The officer had allegedly demanded a bribe to issue ‘no objection certificate’ for shifting mango wood from Ippalapalli of Kathalapur mandal to Kamareddy district headquarters.
Unable to pay the amount, Naresh approached ACB who hatched a plan and trapped forest officer while accepting bribe at his residence in Venkatraopet of Metpalli town.
ACB police arrested the forest officer and produced him before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Karimnagar.
