ACB traps irrigation engineer while accepting Rs 50,000 bribe in Warangal
An Irrigation and Command Area Development Department engineer was caught by ACB officials in Warangal while allegedly accepting a Rs 50,000 bribe. The official had reportedly demanded money for clearing pending bills related to the construction of 2BHK houses.

Warangal: A divisional executive engineer of Irrigation and Command Area Development Department at Palakurthy in Warangal was caught red-handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Monday.
The accused, Ganti Srikanth was trapped and apprehended while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a complainant at his private residence in Bhavani Nagar in Hanamkonda district.
He demanded the amount for recording the final measurements in the m-book and passing bills related to the construction of 10 double-bedroom (2BHK) houses, a matter that had been pending since September 2022.
The tainted money was recovered from the accused and he would be produced before the special judge for special police establishment (SPE) and ACB cases in Warangal.
