Peddapalli: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Panchayati Raj Assistant Engineer Jagadish red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 90,000 at Gangaram village in Kalvasrirampur mandal on Saturday.
According to ACB officials, Jagadish, posted at the Kalvasrirampur Panchayati Raj office, had demanded the bribe from a contractor, Raju, for clearing bills related to CC road works.
Unwilling to pay the bribe, the contractor approached the ACB, which laid a trap and caught the engineer while he was accepting the money.
