ACB traps Shamirpet official in bribery case
The Anti-Corruption Bureau in Hyderabad arrested Tahsildar T. Sucharitha and her driver V. Nagesh after they were caught accepting a Rs 2 lakh bribe as part of a Rs 30 lakh demand for approving a land conversion application in Shamirpet Mandal.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Tuesday caught the Tahsildar and Executive Magistrate, and Joint Sub Registrar, Shamirpet mandal when she demanded, and accepted Rs. 2 lakh as part payment of 30 lakh for doing official work.
The official, T Sucharitha, had demanded Rs. 30 lakh from the complainant for “processing and approving an application for NALA (non-agricultural land use) conversion of agricultural land of 30 acres,” said ACB officials.
The official had accepted the Rs. 2 lakh part payment through her private driver V Nagesh. On a complaint, the ACB registered a case and laid a trap. The driver was caught when he accepted Rs. 2 lakh on behalf of the official.
Sucharitha, and Nagesh were arrested and being produced before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Nampally.
