Yadadri-Bhongir: Sub-Registrar of Yadagirigutta and a document writer were trapped by officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a realtor.

Following a complaint lodged by the realtor, the ACB officials hatched a plan and caught Sub-Registrar Devanand and document writer Prabhakar red-handed while accepting the bribe from the realtor. The Sub-Registrar demanded Rs 20,000 to issue a certificate to the realtor for a real estate venture. He also demanded that he pay the amount through the document writer, according to ACB officials.

The bribe amount was recovered from them by the ACB officials and the chemical test also yielded positive results.
