Kothagudem: District Collector Anudeep Durishetty directed the revenue officials to expedite the process of land acquisition for the irrigation projects in the district.
He held a video conference with the officials of revenue, irrigation, survey and land records, mining department and representatives of L&T company here on Wednesday. Issues such as land acquisition for the multi-purpose Sitamma Sagar Project, Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Scheme, Pulusubontha Project and allotment of gravel, sand and CA land for the projects.
Speaking to the officials, Durishetty directed the revenue officials to acquire and hand over the land to the Irrigation Department and submit a report. He told the officials to speed up Sitamma Sagar Project works.
The land award process for 741 acres of land for Sitamma Sagar Project has to be completed by the end of January month. The Sub-Collector and RDO have to look into the issue of 322 acres of compensatory afforestation (CA) land required to replace the forest land acquired for the project.
Since the CA land has to be handed over to forest department tahsildars and forest officials have to carry out a joint survey and draw a detailed map. The FRO, tahsildar and surveyor have to attest it and submit a report, the Collector said.
Proposals have to be submitted to the TSMDC PO for the allotment of sand required for Sitamma Sagar Project. Similarly reports on the lands suitable for setting up stone quarry to produce gravel for the project use.
Durishetty wanted the officials to take necessary steps for resolving the Sathupalli trunk canal issue and to submit proposals for land acquisition for the Pulusubontha project. Additional Collector K Venkateshwarlu, Irrigation CE Srinivas Reddy, SE Venkateshwar Reddy and others were present.
