Action against home guard after drunken brawl with head constable in Adilabad
An inquiry was begun into the quarrel between the head constable and home guard at the police station, both reportedly under the influence of alcohol on Saturday
Adilabad: An inquiry was initiated into a drunken brawl between a head constable and home guard occurred in Sirikonda police station over availing leave on Dasara festival on Saturday.
Echoda Inspector Bheemesh said that an inquiry was begun into the quarrel between the head constable and home guard. The home guard was attached to the office of SP. Departmental action would be taken against the constable soon, he stated.
Both the head constable and home guard, who were reportedly under the influence of liquor beat each other in the police station on Sunday, bringing disrepute to the police department. It was learnt that they both partied on the premises of the station.
The home guard alleged that assaulted by the head constable and his colleagues. However, the head constable charged that the home guard attacked him and his colleague. Police began a probe into the incident.
