India’s first off-road mud race movie, Muddy deals with a unique and innovative subject that is less explored by filmmakers. The motion posters which were recently released by Vijay Sethupathi caught everyone’s attention.
Debutant filmmaker Dr Pragabhal has done extensive research for five years, with the storyline that tells about the rivalry between various racing teams. An amalgamation of revenge, family drama, humour and adventure, the adventurous action thriller was born out of the director’s love for adventures and off-road racing with which he has a close association.
“The main actors were trained in off-road racing. We wanted to go without using any dupes. Mud racing is a form of off-road motorsport, and it is going to be enthralling to experience this with all the cinematic themes. I wanted actors who were adventurous and willing to invest the necessary time and energy into the film project,” says the director adding that the greatest challenge before him was introducing the sport mud racing to viewers without losing its thrill and punch.
Yuvan, Ridhaan Krishna, Anusha Suresh and Amit Sivadas Nair are the lead artistes in the film and Harish Peradi, IM Vijayan and Renji Panicker will be seen in pivotal roles. Muddy, being bankrolled by Prema Krishnadas under the banner of PK7 Creations, will be releasing in five languages Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
A comprehensive action thriller in the mud racing genre, the movie promises to give the audiences a great story they can enjoy. The film’s technical crew includes KGF fame Ravi Basrur for music, Ratsasan fame San Lokesh for editing, colourist ranga and Hollywood fame KG Ratheesh for cinematography. The teaser for this unique adventure of a film will be out on February 26.
