Actor Allu Arjun appears before Nampally court virtually over Sandhya Theatre stampede case

Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun, appeared before the Nampally court virtually on Friday in connection with the case of stampede at Sandhya Theatre 70 MM on December 4 that resulted in death of a woman.
The actor is cited as accused no. 11 in the case, and the others accused are his security team members, theater staff and the owners. The actor filed a regular bail petition before the court which is scheduled for hearing on December 30.
On December 13, Allu Arjun was arrested and produced before the Nampally court and was remanded to 14-day judicial custody. His custody ended on Friday, and as part of the proceedings, he appeared before the court through video conference.
After his arrest, the Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail for four weeks, from December 13, and he was released from jail the next day.
During actor’s visit for the premier of Pushpa 2, a stampede occurred leading to the death of a 35-year-old woman Revathi and injuries to her eight-year-old son.
Following the incident, the police registered a case against Allu Arjun and other under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The team of Pushpa offered financial assistance of Rs 2 crore to the family recently.
