Hyderabad: As part of the Green India Challenge launched by Rajya Sabha member, Joginipally Santosh Kumar, popular actor Faria Abdullah planted saplings in Film Nagar in the city on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Faria Abdullah said she was happy to participate in the Green India Challenge initiated by Santosh Kumar and plant the saplings. Actors Anand Devarakonda, Naveen Polisetti and Shanvi Meghna have also taken up the challenge. Later, Green India Challenge co-founder Raghava presented Faria with a book on Vriksha Vedam.
