Hyderabad: The death toll in the Gachibowli road crash rose to two, with S.Gayathri, a young short film actor succumbing to her injuries at the hospital on Friday late night.
Gayathri, who was seated in the car driven by her friend Rohit, suffered grievous injuries and the two were shifted to the hospital, where she died later. Rohit is critical.
On Friday late evening, the car which was allegedly driven in a rash manner mowed down M.Maheshwari (38), a gardener who was watering plants at Ellaa Hotel gate.
The car then hit a median on the road side and turned over.
It was yet to be known if the driver was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
The Gachibowli police have booked a case for negligence causing death and injuries and are investigating.
The car driver was yet to be arrested while the car was seized. The bodies were shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
