Hyderabad: Joining the Green India Challenge initiated by Rajya Sabha MP J.Santosh Kumar, actor Shravan Raghavendra planted saplings at the GHMC Park, Jubilee Hills, on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Shravan recalled that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had, as an MLA from Siddipet, called for massive plantation of saplings and he, as a school student there, had participated and planted saplings then.

Inspired by the Chief Minister’s vision to restore the eco-balance through massive plantations, Santosh Kumar has successfully taken up the Green India Challenge, he said.

Shravan further nominated actors Amit Tiwari, Leona Lishoy and MP Ravi Kishan for the challenge.
