Adilabad: 250 units of blood donated to mark police martyrs’ commemoration week

SP Gaush Alam said that the police and youngsters gave away their blood for patients of RIMS-Adilabad as part of the ongoing police martyrs commemoration week held at Adilabad, Boath, Ichoda and Utnoor.

Adilabad: Police and enthusiastic youngsters voluntarily donated 250 units of blood to mark the ongoing police martyrs’ commemoration week observed in four different parts of the district on Saturday.

Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam said that the police and youngsters gave away their blood for patients of RIMS-Adilabad as part of the ongoing police martyrs commemoration week held at Adilabad, Boath, Ichoda and Utnoor. Alam formally inaugurated the camp in Adilabad district headquarters.


Alam, his brother Dr Jilani and his friend Vikas donated their blood for the cause to set an example to others. He said that the blood would save lives of the patients during medical emergencies and road accidents. He thanked those who gave away their blood and doctors of RIMS for extending their cooperation to the event.

DMHO Dr Krishna, DSPs Jeevan Reddy, B Surender Reddy, Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors were present.
