Adilabad: Boath MPO, Sarpanch served show cause notice

Adilabad: Boath Mandal Panchayat Officer (MPO) and Sarpanch of Boath mandal centre were served show cause notices for creating nuisance in a community health centre on May 8.

An order to this effect was issued by in-charge Collector Rahul Raj here on Monday. According to the order, Boath MPO Dharma Jeevan Reddy and Sarpanch G Surender picked up an argument with medical superintendent Ravindraprasad, seeking four personal protection equipment (PPE) kits to perform final rites of a person who died of Covid-19. They demanded the authorities of the Medical and Health Department to show official records without any power.

The Mandal Panchayat Officer and Sarpanch were asked to send their explanations as to why action should not be initiated against them to the office of the Collector within three days.
