Adilabad Collector Sikta Patnaik inspects PHCs in Indervelli

Adilabad: District Collector Sikta Patnaik directed Medical and Health department officials to render better quality services to the public. She inspected primary health centres (PHCs) in Pittabongaram village and Indervelli mandal centre on Thursday.
Sikta suggested doctors and nurses to administer vaccines and carry out scanning of pregnant women with due diligence. She instructed them to enter the findings of the scanning and vaccinations in cards and also directed them to see to it that the PHC premise is clean.
She further asked the officers of the Health Department to continue the Fever survey and advised them to track the medical condition of those found sick, daily and also urged them to administer booster doses to frontline workers and those aged above 60.
The Collector further instructed authorities to submit reports relating to deaths caused by Covid-19 and help kin of the victims in getting compensation from the government. She told staffers of an Anganwadi centre in Pittabongaram to provide nutrient supplements to pregnant women and their children, besides supplying iron pills.
District Medical and Health Officer Dr Narender Rathod, District Malaria Officer Dr Sridhar, Programme Officer Dr Navya, Medical officer of Indervelli Dr Srikanth and many others were present.
