Adilabad: The three-day long fifth state-level Girijan sports meet began on the premises of Kumram Bheem complex in Utnoor mandal centre on Tuesday.
Adilabad MP G Nagesh was the chief guest of the event, while Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju, and his counterpart from Boath Anil Jadhav and ITDA-Utnoor project officer Khusbu Gupta graced the occasion.
The dignitaries presented medals to winners of events on the first day. Parushuram from Utnoor won a gold medal in sprinting, while Mahesh and Satish stood in the second position and third spot.
Likhitha of Bhadrachalam bagged the gold medal in the sprinting competition. Chinnu Bai and Prasanna clinched silver and bronze medals.
