Adilabad: Members of the Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ)-H143 alleged that the State government had not allocated a single rupee for the welfare of journalists, while the health card system was shelved. They launched a postcard campaign against the government, demanding welfare measures and health cards on account of Gandhi Jayanthi here on Friday.

The journalists initially paid tributes to the father of the nation and then visited a post office in the town. They sent postcards to the government, urging it to earmark Rs 100 crore as promised by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and to issue health cards at the earliest. They regretted that they lacked health security.

TUWJ district president Betha Ramesh, leaders L Raju, Anwar, Premsagar, S Gangadhar, Mahabub Khan, Panam Praveen, Subhash, Gajanand, Teja, Sudhakar, Sathesh, Prashanth and others were present.
