Adilabad police collect 817 units of blood in camp
Adilabad police organised a blood donation camp on Police Martyrs Day, collecting 817 units of blood. Superintendent Akhil Mahajan thanked volunteers and said the blood would be supplied free to RIMS-Adilabad and a local private blood bank for emergencies

Adilabad: Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan said a blood donation camp organised by the police department received an overwhelming response, with many people participating. He inaugurated the camp, held to mark the ongoing Police Martyrs Day here on Wednesday.
Mahajan said people and youngsters voluntarily donated 817 units of blood during the camp. He thanked those who came forward to give their blood for the cause. He added that the blood would be used free of cost for victims of road accidents and medical emergencies. The blood would be supplied to RIMS-Adilabad and a private blood bank in the town.
RIMS director Dr Jaisingh Rathod, DSPs Jeevan Reddy, Potharam Srinivas and Kamatham Indravardhan, inspectors, NGO representatives, leaders of youth organisations, staffers of a private blood bank and policemen took part in the event.
