Adilabad: Erstwhile Adilabad district recorded a dip in minimum temperatures forcing people to remain indoors on Thursday. According to weather report available on the website of Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), Ginnedhari in Tiryani mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad registered a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius, while Sirpur (U) mandal registered 9.4 degrees Celsius. Adilabad Rural, Utnoor, Indervelli, and Bazarhathnoor mandals saw 10 degrees Celsius.

Many other parts of Nirmal and Mancherial districts saw somewhere between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius of minimum temperatures. Ryali village in Hajipur mandal recorded 10.4 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 10 and 15 degrees Celsius for the next three days, according to a weather forecast.


Due to chilly weather conditions, people from all walks of life, in particular elderly and children had to keep their bodies warm using woollen sweaters and making bonfires with the help of logs. They could not venture outdoors till 10 am. Farmers did not take up agriculture activities fearing cold wave conditions.
