Adilabad: A government teacher was placed under suspension for allegedly abusing a student and his family members using his caste name at a school in Ranadevenagar here on Thursday. The suspension order was issued on Monday evening.
According to the order, Mohammed Yousuf was suspended for scolding a student from a weaker section when the boy requested that the lessons he had missed be repeated. The student’s parents brought the matter to the notice of the headmaster. Student unions staged a protest seeking action against the teacher.
Officials of the School Education Department conducted an inquiry into the allegations and submitted a report to the District Education Officer, who initiated action against the teacher.
