Adilabad: Women thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for implementing numerous welfare, development and empowerment schemes for women in Telangana State. They took out a bullock cart rally and performed ksheerabhisekam to a flex poster of Rao, as part of ‘Mahila Bandhu K Chandrashekhar Rao’ celebrations being organised to mark the International Women’s Day celebrations at Mukhra (K) village in Echoda mandal on Sunday.
Led by Sarpanch Gadge Meenakshi, the women took out a rally on the village roads. They said that the Chief Minister was implementing KCR Kits, Aarogyasri, social security pension to single women, and Srinidhi loans, etc. They added that the government introduced 50 percent reservations to women in local bodies. They played drums and danced to songs. They raised slogans, hailing Rao for extending the initiatives for the welfare of women. They stated that they would be indebted to him forever.
Mukhra (K) MPTC member G Subhash, vice-sarpanch Varsha, Anasuya, Archana, Renuka, Tirupati, Sanjeev and many others were present.
