Adilabad win both boys and girls titles at Telangana State junior kho kho championship
Adilabad bagged a double, winning the boys and girls titles in the 44th Telangana State junior inter-district kho kho championship at Patancheru. They beat Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar in the finals, while Hyderabad and Karimnagar settled for bronze medals
Hyderabad: Adilabad bagged a double, winning the boys and girls titles in the 44th Telangana State junior inter-district kho kho championship at Patancheru Mythri Ground near here.
In the boys final, Adilabad defeated Ranga Reddy 34-28, while the girls team got the better of Mahabubnagar 42-8 in the other final.
Hyderabad and Karimnagar settled for bronze medals.
G Mahipal Reddy, MLA, Patancheru, gave away the prizes.
Nathi Krishna Murthy, General Secretary of the Telangana Kho Kho Association, said they were pleased with the response to the championship and the support from the local organisers.
“We are also grateful to the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) and its President, Sudhanshu Mittal, for continued support and guidance. This championship has reaffirmed our commitment to promoting kho kho and nurturing young talent in the state, and we look forward to continued success in the years to come,” he said.
