Adilabad witnesses moderate rains on Monday

Sirikonda mandal received the highest rainfall of 113 mm followed by Bazarhathnoor which witnessed 97.6 mm of rainfall

Adilabad: Several parts of Adilabad, Nirmal and Mancherial district received moderate rainfall on Monday.

Adilabad district recorded an average rainfall of 65 mm. Sirikonda mandal received the highest rainfall of 113 mm followed by Bazarhathnoor which witnessed 97.6 mm of rainfall. Indervelli, Neradigonda, Utnoor, Talamadugu, Ichoda mandals, Adilabad Urban and Tamsi mandals too witnessed moderate rainfall.

The average rainfall of Nirmal and Mancherial district was gauged to be 55 and 40 mm, respectively. Soan mandal registered the highest rainfall of 86.5 mm, while Basar mandal experienced 74.5 mm of rainfall.

Mancherial, Chennur, Naspur, Kannepalli, Kotapalli and Bheemin mandals recorded anywhere between 40 mm and 70 mm of rainfall. Power supply was hit in certain parts of these districts. However, authorities of the Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) restored the power by working round-the-clock.
