Adilabad: Residents celebrated the birthday of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao by performing Ksheerabhisekam to his flex poster and giving harati at the model village of Mukhra (K) in Echoda mandal on Monday.
The residents opined that their lives were derailed after Chandrashekhar Rao ceased to be the Chief Minister of Telangana. They wanted Rao’s return to power for the betterment of their lives. They said that every section was benefited by the unprecedented welfare schemes and outstanding governance of Rao. They claimed that they were now leading a challenging life.
The villagers said that farmers were facing problems due to delays in extending Rythu Bandhu, a crop investment support scheme for the agrarian community. They regretted that senior citizens and differently abled persons were not receiving monthly pensions regularly. Pregnant women were not getting nutrition kits, while new mothers were not being provided with kits.
