Hyderabad: Noted human resource management and software services provider ADP extended its unstinted support to Telangana Blind Cricket Team (men) in collaboration with I&EYE, a voluntary organisation involved in providing quality education and health for visually impaired children.
The ADP supported the visually impaired cricketers from Telangana, who are now taking part in the prestigious national T20 Cricket Tournament ‘Nagesh Trophy’ for the Blind 2021-2022 in Haryana and Delhi. The ADP sponsored the entire cricket kit, including bats, gloves, wicket-keeper gloves, and shoes to every player, through their CSR programme, Tarang.
Earlier, the company had sponsored the Telangana State level Tournament in October, which brought 14 extraordinary cricketers into the contention who made it to the State’s cricket squad to play in the Nagesh Trophy.
Vijay Vemulapalli, GM and MD, ADP, said, “Cricket for the blind is not just a game but a test of character, resilience, skills, and passion that the Telangana team has excelled in over the years. I was also happy to virtually interact with the entire team and understand the nuances of cricket for the blind from the players themselves.”
