Photos of him battling bravely for his country against the Russian forces have oddly enough made him the ‘world’s sexiest man alive’. Fans couldn’t stop swooning over pictures of Zelensky defending Kyiv in Military gear.
A Twitter user named Rebecca Mandell wrote, “I just told my husband I have a crush on Zelensky. His response: “So do I.” I married a mensch. #IStandWithUkriane (sic).”
“President Zelensky is my new celebrity crush,” wrote Kassy Dillon.
“I’m not gay but Zelinsky has given me a man crush (sic),” wrote another social media user.
People couldn’t stop talking about the former actor and comedian on social media, although some expressed disgust. “zelensky: “I do not want my picture in your offices. the president is not an icon, an idol, or a portrait. western white women: we ALL have a crush on him, what a dreamboat (sic),” tweeted one person.
‘The Mirror’ wrote, “He’s made scores of fans in the process, especially when he told the US ‘I need ammunition, not a ride’ as he turned down their offer of a safe route out of the country.”
