After Konda Surekha’s daughter, ex-MLC Jeevan Reddy now questions allotment of works to one firm
Former MLC Jeevan Reddy alleged discrimination in Jagtial, questioning why Gowrishankar Infra and Builders Pvt Ltd received repeated allotments for municipal and water projects. He accused Congress leaders of favouring turncoat MLAs, sidelining loyal party workers, and causing him mental harassment.
Hyderabad: After Forest Minister Konda Surekha’s daughter Sushmitha expressed outrage over Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s involvement in Medaram Jatara tenders, former MLC T Jeevan Reddy has now raised objections to several works being allotted to a single firm.
Like Sushmitha, Jeevan Reddy too alleged discrimination and mental harassment by Congress Ministers. A six-time MLA and former Minister in the united Andhra Pradesh, he has been repeatedly complaining to the Telangana Congress over the priority being given to BRS turncoat MLA from Jagtial, Dr Sanjay, in party affairs.
The former Minister raised strong objections with SC Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, questioning the allotment of works to a particular firm at the behest of turncoat leaders in his constituency.
“Gowrishankar Infra and Builders Private Limited secures all works in Jagtial constituency. Who is he and why is the government offering all works, including municipal, water works and godowns, and filling his stomach?” Jeevan Reddy asked the Minister in a video now circulating on social media.
He alleged that the Congress was being discriminatory towards loyal party workers and leaders, claiming their political interests were being compromised.
When Laxman Kumar tried to pacify Jeevan Reddy, assuring him that the government would look into the issue, the former Minister’s supporters pointed out that they had always worked with dedication for the party.
“The Congress party does not know how to govern. It lacks confidence in its elected MLAs and is giving priority to turncoat MLAs. This should stop immediately,” Jeevan Reddy said.
When Laxman Kumar informed him that the issue was taken to the party high command’s attention, Jeevan Reddy retorted that he was being subjected to mental harassment.
“I am speaking the truth. The reason behind my mental tension is IT Minister D Sridhar Babu and Adluri Laxman Kumar,” Jeevan Reddy alleged, claiming he was being made a scapegoat due to the party’s preference for turncoat MLAs.
Similarly, Konda Sushmitha had earlier alleged that Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy were conspiring against her mother, Forest Minister Konda Surekha.
