In a recent chat with Pink Villa, Aamir confirmed that he will appear in a special cameo in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-awaited film Coolie starring superstar Rajinikanth. The film will hit theatres on August 14 and is expected to set the box office on fire. Aamir took up this cameo as he will soon lead Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming superhero film too.

Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most popular directors in South cinema today. He is known for his big hits like Kaithi, Master, Vikram, and Leo, which have all done strong business and earned him a massive fan following. His action-packed stories and stylish direction have made him a favourite among big stars.

“I am very excited for the film because Lokesh is an amazing director. The film will start next year in the second half, once I am done with the Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) film. I think we will start shooting for it in September 2026,” Aamir shared.

He added that he is really looking forward to working with Lokesh because he hasn’t done an action film in a long time. Before that, Aamir will shoot for Dadasaheb Phalke’s biopic, which is a social dramedy directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Fans can’t wait to see Aamir back with these interesting projects lined up.
